Information event in Berlin: how to protect yourself and your family from viral hepatitis

On Saturday, 25 April 2026, an informational event will take place in Berlin
“Hepatitis — how can I protect myself and my family?”, dedicated to prevention, testing, and access to support services in Germany.
The meeting will take place from 13:30 to 16:30 at Berliner Aids-Hilfe e.V. at the following address:
Kurfürstenstraße 130, 10785 Berlin.
The goal of the event is to provide practical information about viral hepatitis in an accessible and safe format and to help participants better navigate the German healthcare system.
During the event, special attention will be given to debunking common myths and explaining why viral hepatitis can affect anyone — regardless of lifestyle or social status.
The program includes:
- an overview of the vaccination system in Germany:
- where, how, and against which diseases vaccination is available;
- basic information about viral hepatitis B, C, and D — routes of transmission,
- prevention, diagnostics, and modern treatment approaches;
- informal communication with doctors and specialists.
Invited general practitioner Alexander Boubnov will share information on where Ukrainians can receive medical care in Berlin if they are diagnosed with hepatitis B, C, or D.
**Participants will also have the opportunity: **
- to receive free hepatitis C testing;
- to talk with specialists in an informal atmosphere;
- to enjoy a coffee break with refreshments.
For parents with children, a separate room with coloring activities will be organized to ensure the event is comfortable for the whole family.
During the meeting, Datacheck Connect will be presented — a digital navigation service created to support Ukrainians in Germany, including people living with HIV or hepatitis, as well as representatives of key communities.
The platform helps users find verified information and support services within the German healthcare system.
